Movement
WHAT IS UNBECOMING?
Unbecoming is a creative somatic movement practice that invites you to return to your raw, instinctive self—beneath the roles, the expectations, the noise. It is a space to explore who you are when you're not trying to perform, impress, or prove.
Rooted in body awareness and expressive movement, Unbecoming blends elements of free dance, guided improvisation, and emotional exploration to help you feel more at home in your body. Through movement, we explore textures, rhythms, resistances, and possibilities—not to perfect them, but to remember what feels true.
This practice is not about learning how to move a certain way. It’s about unlearning the ways you’ve been taught to shrink, to conform, to override your inner signals. It's a slow peeling back. A creative unraveling. A process of reconnecting with the self that existed before the shoulds.
In each session, we move through inner landscapes and everyday metaphors—claiming space, grounding in chaos, softening edges, tuning into sound and silence. The idea is to let the dance floor be your mirror so you can move more honestly through the world floor.
Unbecoming isn’t a one-time release—it’s a practice. The more you show up, the more you notice: a shift in how you speak, how you breathe, how you relate. It’s not just movement for the sake of moving—it’s movement as self-trust, creative discovery, and a quiet rebellion against all that keeps you small
